Membership Support Platform
This website serves as a membership-based platform offering support for studying in Canada, focusing primarily on
assisting potential international students with their applications to Canadian colleges. The frontend of the website
utilizes the Bootstrap CSS framework, while the backend is crafted in PHP, operating on a MySQL database.
Featuring AI support powered by the OpenAI API, the site introduces "MapleAI," a robotic AI consultant, alongside a
tool that assesses study and immigration possibilities. Users can input their essential details and preferences,
which the AI then processes to produce a comprehensive assessment report.
Additionally, the website boasts a
filterable school distribution map, pinpointing each institution based on critical criteria. Furthermore, a K-12
school application management feature has been implemented, guiding applicants through the entire process, helping
them to navigate and manage their application journey efficiently.
The concept for creating this platform originally stemmed from my own experience applying for studies in Canada.
Thanks to my learning experience at Sheridan College, my programming skills significantly improved, especially with
the drive of AI technology. I've summarized my past experiences and combined them with the development knowledge
I've acquired to develop this support platform.
In fact, this project is also the final project for my Web Application Development course in the Interactive Media
Management program. I plan to continue refining the platform and developing new features and functions after
graduation, such as integrating the OpenAI Assistant API to generate high-quality responses to enhance user
experience, and training data to make the platform smarter.
On the other hand, I will also combine my copywriting skills to write some instructional articles and conduct content
marketing to recommend this product to users.
